About the event
A powerful cross border African story is coming to Lusaka this September, and the Zambian creative industry has an opportunity to show its support.
Echoes of Omusati, a Namibian film with a deeply personal story of identity, family and belonging, will premiere at Ster Kinekor, Manda Hill, on 18 September.
At the centre of the story is a Zambian born woman searching for a father she never knew, embarking on a 37 year journey that crosses national borders in search of answers, identity and, ultimately, a sense of home.
This is more than a film screening.
It is a story that speaks directly to the experiences of many African families, particularly those whose lives have been shaped by migration, separation, borders and unanswered questions about where they come from.
